Dirk served as the Principal Architect at Jackson Burnside Ltd. for 4 years after the untimely death of Mr. Burnside. Over the years with the firm, he has worked on and completed a number of projects that include the Marina Village at Atlantis, Ocean Club Condominiums, College of The Bahamas Northern Campus, Cancer Caring Center Phases 1 & 2, Bridge Authority Office & Toll Plaza Building, Pompey Square & Seaman's Chapel Re-developement, and Superwash Ltd. chain of stores.

At Architectural Design Ideas Ltd., Dirk continues to utilize his background training and experience to build on the rich heritage of island environments, the cultural diversity of the people, and the unlimited creative potential of The Bahamas & the Caribbean.

Under his direction, the firm's mission is to become the design leaders in the region through the delivery of the highest standards of service and product excellence, establishing a quality of life and design style that is recognizable and appreciated around the world.
